Second your feeling about Rio Hamasaki. I think she’s got the best body in JAV (best boobs anyway) but I stopped downloading her videos… it kinds of get old after the 103rd time….
I’m also tired of Towa Mitsui. Her SOD-Create judo vid was great, but that’s about it, she’s not that cute and a little bit too bulky, I thought her other vids were very, very dull…

it’s probably an nanba
An Nanba isn’t even remotely close to holding the record. Check her Wiki page for a list of her works going back to 2002. Whoever holds the record would have to be a free agent, not tied to a studio contract. Nanba spent most of her career under contract to Moodyz and made about one video per month.
Someone like Hotaru Akane, Riko Tachibana, Maki Tomoda, or Yumi Kazama is a more likely candidate. Visit their Wiki pages. It’s mind-boggling what they’ve done. Rio Hamasaki would have to keep up her current pace for at least another two or three years to come close to them.
Example: According to Rio’s Wiki page, she released 74 videos in 2007. It’s not clear how many of them were compilations. Let’s say they were all new.
By contrast, Maki Tomoda in 2007 released 71 new videos and appeared in 68 compilations. And she’s been doing this since 2002-03 (2003 was her first full year in JAV).
Among younger girls, Nao Ayukawa is someone to keep an eye on. She’s only been around since January 2007 (a little less than Rio), but she’s been quite prolific too (55 in 2007).
Ran Asakawa supposedly set a record for most movies released in a single year, but I have no idea how accurate the reporting on things like that would be. Seems hard to imagine anyone working more than Riko Tachibana or Hotaru Akane though.
a label exclusively dedicated to tig ol’ bitties … hmm. considerin’ the japanese adulation for bigguns, makes you wonder why there wasn’t one sooner. maybe not enough “actresses” to keep things fresh? seem the talent search has cast it’s nets far enough & wide enough to meed the demand. either that or the supply lines between gravure & AV (e.g. aoki rin, handa sassa, etc.) have been developed sufficiently to funnel lots of top-heavies into the industry. i look forward to seein’ what this new studio can do.
IT would be cool if Mr. Pig would set up a contest in which who can find the JAV Idol who has the most video’s and validate his/her answers!?! What do you say Mr. Pig?
That would be a cool contest, but to validate the answers would be extremely difficult and far too time-consuming for someone who has a life outside of watching porn.
First of all, you’d have to determine what counts as a legitimate entry. For example, here is Ran Asakawa’s videography:

As Gaijindavid pointed out, Ran allegedly holds the record for most videos released in a year (212 in 2002). My math might be off, but I actually counted 222 titles that she released in 2002. The problem is, a lot of these titles look like variations of each other — different versions of basically the same video. Should all of those count? I don’t think so. Should appearances on compilation videos count? No. But who’s going to sort through all those records? No one.
BTW, Ran Asakawa has released 781 titles as of March 19. But how many of them should really count? My guess (and it’s just a guess) is somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-250. Impressive, but Hotaru, Riko, and Maki have done more.
Other problems for any kind of “most videos” contest:
How do you weigh a video in which an actress appears in all the scenes vs. a video in which she appears in only one scene? Do you count them equally as long as neither is a compilation video? Is that fair? If an actress releases five videos but only appears in one scene each, is she really more prolific than an actress who releases one video but who stars in all the scenes?
Should a 180-minute video count twice as much as a 90-minute video?
What about hetero vs. lesbian videos? Equal weight? Should hetero videos be given more weight on the assumption that hetero action is harder on the body than lesbian action?
As you can see, measuring the productivity of a JAV performer can be a tricky thing.

I think if a Most Videos contest were to be put into action, it should be a matter of counting different covers. Each cover = 1 video. If a video has multiple covers for some reason (SPECIAL 2-DISC DVD WITH 4 HOURS OF BONUS FOOTAGE*) then the title should be taken into account to ensure there are no duplicate entries. I don’t think it’s that hard a concept, but who’s gonna keep track of the judging? lol

It’s about time someone made a studio dedicated exclusively to busties! I really do wonder why this wasn’t done sooner. In any case, I’d like to check out some of these titles.
